Chicks in Crisis (CIC) information provided by: the Sacramento County Mental Health Division

Emergency assistance to women who are facing an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy, who may or may not already have young children and are in a crisis situation. The goal of the organization is to decrease infant abandonment, child neglect, homelessness of women and children and to facilitate open adoption service. Clothes closet is free. Call for appointment. Parenting classes/skills, job preparation, and life skills.

Monday through Friday 9 am - 5 pm; 24-hours Hotline

None to birth mothers.

Telephone, write, referral from other agencies, e-mail or visit web site.

Eligibility Requirements:
CalWORKs, pregnant, homeless with children, working women needing diapers and formula.
