California Veterans Assistance Foundation

Established in 2003 to operate transitional housing programs for military veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The CVAF Board of Directors is comprised of veterans who are nationally recognized as experts on the issues of homelessness among veterans and are dedicated to veteran’s advocacy.

DSTRESS Line

Provides an anonymous behavioral health counseling hotline service, operated through TRICARE, that gives all Marines (regular, reserve, veteran or retiree), attached sailors and family members a place to call and speak with "one of their own." It's a non-medical place to talk about everything from everyday stressors to post-traumatic stress. DSTRESS Line counselors won't diagnose symptoms, but they will work with callers to help with a way forward.
